Waste of energy when we are supposed to be going green!

Kippy...did the cat do the "whap, whap, whap?".

Cheenagringo...spoilsport! Hope you only eat brussels sprouts (or any veg)when they're grown locally and seasonally.

Nope...unless you're living in Mexico and are within a 100 mile radius of the place where they're growing.
Of course, the above only applies if you're really fanatically going green.
Personally, I'm as green as possible BUT I'm not gonna go overboard. I like ice in my diet coke and I need a refrigerator 'cuz I don't want to shop and consume daily...and I need a place to stash BUTTER (that's made in New Zealand)

Diet drinks are baaaad for you. Check the research. (Bet you will, too. LOL)

Butter freezes just fine, as we've discovered by trying it.

Sometimes, SL gets the brussies. Not as good as CA grown, but they'll do, with plenty of butter.

I like to rate foods as to their effectiveness as "butter delivery systems". While brussel sprouts are good I find baked potatoes even more effective.
Ms Latte and I both agree that popcorn is a favorite.

Ooooh, secret butterer. You may need a 12-step program.

My program starts with steps 1-11... pats of butter. Step 12... enjoy!

Yes. Yes, we do.

slainte, I am sorry but pancakes (while good) lack the soul-satisfying texture and mouthability of really good popcorn. And for world-class popcorn such as that produced by lunateak, well, there just is no contest.

Yes, but you are talking "class". When I was a heavy drinker, I preferred good scotch but would settle for muscatel wine....and my point was "hiding the butter" like a true butterholic....between the layers of pancakes.

P.S. I'll come to your place for popcorn if you will slip out to the back alley for some panckakes with me. Very Happy

I am a social butter imbiber--can stop anytime I want. I just never want. Besides, real butter on popcorn is virtually invisible--until your teeth break apart that morsel and the butter whispers the true name of god along your taste buds with salt trailing behind in a faint echo.

The thread got split off from "New family member" in pets. It was actually an off the cuff remark about brussel sprouts from Hockables. It's not nice to call Cbob a Gremlin when he was just trying to keep his thread on track.
