Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
I think the kiosko gets remodeled every 5 years or so. Just wait for the new delegado, he won't like it, and they will tear it all apart

Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
Ajijic Delegado Advisory Committee activities:
Tianguis Paver Project - SIMAPA (the water commission) has advised us that they will be replacing pipes on Av. Revolucion and that the paver project must wait until their work is completed. In the mean time, all donated funds are secure in a dedicated bank account and the committee is working to secure the balance of needed funds to complete the project.
Workers - Chapala has returned workers to Delegado Hector and he has put them to work preparing the Panteon (municipal cemetery) for the Day of the Dead celebrations. The committee has supplied funds for cement for additional safe walkways and supplies for additional lighting. A general cleanup of the cemetery is in progress. Another committee is working to restore the mausoleum of the Ajijic historic figure " La Rusa".
Plaza - the welder/ artist is averaging two metal figures and twelve metal flowers a week on the gazebo railing. He anticipates three weeks to completion. The committee is paying for this effort with the assistance of the Lake Chapala Garden Club and others.
Centro de Salud (Health Center) - Hector has met with state authorities to secure new personnel and remodeling/rebuilding plans. The committee participated in these meetings/discussions to secure improvements in the six corners facility.

Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
Next week is pothole week in Ajijic!
Firstly, thanks to all who sent emails to the presidente asking for our workers back. Next week they will be doing potholes. We need specific addresses to send them to. Please help and be on the lookout and post here!

Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
A generous donor has offered the Ajijic Casa de Cultura ten computers for children to come to the center and do homework free of charge. They still need tables, chairs, printers, and cables.

Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
Snowbird update
Hector Espana's Ajijic Delegado Advisory Committee Activities:
We lost our workers for much of the summer and fall to aroyo cleaning and then Chapala preparations for Independence Day- But they are back now!
June we had a very successful plant in with the malecon park and carretera receiving hundreds of plants and trees. BTW if you do any plant or tree removal the village is happy to have and plant them. Just bring anything viable to the park and leave it at the bodega nearest the pier.
The public cemetery received a major upgrade. Many cement walkways were installed and additional lighting and watering facilities were installed. The whole cemetery was cleaned and we had a very successful Day of the Dead tour
The Six Corners Centro de Salud received a personnel change and plans are in the works for a major facility upgrade, including a possible dental clinic
We began work on the plaza with the Kiosk handrail getting an artistic approach. While there have been some delays with the worker, we hope to be done by San Andres festival
Hector held a very successful Bar B Que fund raiser and that money is in the bank awaiting appropriate projects
Our plan to put interlocking pavers on the tianguis street is awaiting SIMAPA repair of water mains under the street. The good news is that full funding is at least pledged. The project is a first priority with plans and permits ready
Our workers are back at work with a new list of ramps and sidewalks to do
If you have any projects for the committee contact Harry Bublin, Chairperson at 766-4282

Re: Ajijic Delegado Committee News
If you have a little extra money (I know many of you don't) look for the one bad sidewalk in your
neighborhood and pay to fix it. I did it in my former Zaragoza Calle and if you saw the look on
the Mexican owners face it was worth every Peso. Labor the Delegato pays for and we pay for
metal, concrete, gravel and sand. Great deal folks!! They do do what they say they are going to
do it just takes a little time. I trust these folks! You should also in my opinion. I am very proud of
the changes to the village and the locals are also.
