Hospital Civil Viejo - Instituto de Cancerologia
High likelihood that I will need to visit this hospital on the afternoon of Monday, 28 January, for a procedure. Apparently, Hospital Civil Viejo is somewhere in Guad Centro. I can and will use Google to try to locate it, but if anyone has any PERSONAL experience with driving up there from Lakeside (especially Joco), could you please give me some directions? (And, yes, I love directions that involve landmarks and buildings instead of street signs which we know are not always easy to see in Guad.)
It has also been suggested to me that I park elsewhere (i.e. at a nearby Walmart) and take a taxi to the hospital itself since parking there may be limited. So if you have ideas about that, please let me know. I think I might actually find that preferable!
(On the other hand, if anyone needs directions from Joco to the new IMSS hospital in Tlajomulco, I'm the person with the answers, having now made that trip eight times in the past few weeks!)
Thanks!

Lucky, When our friend was in the Hospital Civil, Deb took the Chapala Plus Bus....Non Stop to the main bus station in GDL. From there approx. 10-15 minutes to hospital by taxi.

Lucky, take the blue Joco bus to the end of the line which will be the main old station. Out front there are a line of cabs just ask for Hospital Civil Viejo. Easy peasy, better than driving. Allow time for the blue bus, it's not exactly an express line. . . lol. suerte

I don't know how long the Joco Blue bus trip is, but the Chapala Plus is a non stop from Sorianos in Chapala to the GDL bus station, plus you can park in their parking lot.
