Thanksgiving
My wife and I would like to have a group dinner for Thanksgiving. Can anyone recommend some restaurants that prepare a Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings and do it well ?
Thanks
Thanks

Several, but I would choose either Manix or La Huevo Posada where you will get lots of good food. Watch the Guadalajara Reporter for ads. There may be one in this weeks, but I'm not sure.

La Nueva Posada
The way it was explained here it sounds like the egg place. The Nueva Posada is very well known for its' thanksgiving dinners, book early. There are two sittings.

And I thought that The Egg Posada was a new addition to the Ajijic dining scene.

So did I, hence the correction, although huevo is masculine, el huevo. BTW there was a rather infamous thread sometime back regarding the uses of the word huevo and its many derivatives. Hilarious.

Salvador's is having a full Thanksgiving Dinner for 170 pesos with both Turkey and Ham and lots of other goodies too.
Armando's is having a Thanksgiving Dinner for 240 pesos - 2 seatings.

Funny thing - a very similar post recently showed up on MexConnect with "Johninajijic" as the author. Could this be a reincarnation of northernguy?

We did Manix one year that we didn't go to the beach. I believe it was a buffet and was very good. Hector, the owner was there serving. He likes to make sure everything is done right.

We only drove once to PV. We used to take the buses with our group of friends. As far as taking less time, you are talking about Manzanillo. It still takes 5.5 hours to PV. I'll report back on my driving time there this year without breaking speed records. I'll probably drive about 110 kmh.

Re: Thanksgiving
5.5 hours to PV is about bang on. I have driven it 4 times in the past 6 months. I have driven both routes (cuoto vs non-cuoto) and they take about the same time.
3.5 hours to Manzinillo if you don't stop for anything.
