Gracias. Hope you’ll get some turkey. I celebrate Canadian AND U.S. turkey days.

I'd do anything for dressing and cranberry sauce!

We do not celebrate any of it, it is too close to Christmas.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Although I am thankful that we celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving on a Monday in October and a US Thanksgiving on a Thursday in November, lakeside, as usual, I ate too much food and have to go on a diet until Christmas eve
May you all have a great evening.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
This was our first Thanksgiving here and only my 3rd in 63 years away from family but it was wonderful:-) We got a smoked turkey from the Smokehouse restaurant which was delicious, my husbands favorite oyster stuffing, (I drove to Manzanillo to get the oysters!) cranberry sauce and a big fresh salad. No pies, (which I am known for by friends and family) and I think my husband was a bit disappointed in that but he made up for it with football all day and a wonderful day just lounging and listening to music on the lake! We still have the newbies state of mind and every day is better than the last:-)

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
I was going to Bobby's La Terraza with four friends for American Thanksgiving... and when I was driving home, I was going to stop in at Panino's to get another Turkey dinner to go so I would have "leftovers" for today. Great plan that didn't happen since I got hit with some kind of stomach flu around 11 am on Wednesday and had to cancel Thursday's celebration.
My Thanksgiving dinner at 8 pm was chicken noodle soup. Bummer!
Still, I'm grateful to be feeling better in this beautiful country with its beautiful people and its beautiful weather.

I bought one of those birds from Smoke House for a luncheon today and it was terrific. Won’t be roasting any turkeys as long as Smoke House keeps smoking these. They told me they 29 of them. They give you gravy as well.

We were a party of 6 at the Smoke House last night and everyone agreed it was the best turkey dinner all of them have ever had in a restaurant. These were people who were born here or have lived here a long, long time. The pay de calabasa was something out of this world.

We were in a party of six in the garden at Gosha's. As dark arrived, the many twinkling lights were magical. The dinner was outstanding as well; the traditional turkey, dressing etc. was in such generous portions that we had "Thankgiving dinner" yesterday, too.

It really is! I pride myself on my brisket but no need to even make it when I can get it there:-)
