Selling Property Lakeside
It works, folks! I sold my property this week through http://lagunachapala.com/fsbo/. Having listed first with a local realtor, I felt disappointed in their service and did not renew the listing. I decided to advertise as For Sale By Owner and had great success and a sale. If you are selling your property give it a try. It works. And no, this is not a paid advertisement, neither am I related to anyone owning the website. I am one satisfied customer.

Congradulations ChickenLittle, I'm glad we could get your property seen by that "one person" That's what it is all about. Our FSBO site is an advertising platform that we have tailored to give the home owner maximum exposure. Not just on the FSBO website it's self, but all the properties are fed out to more than 30 similar websites around the world. In the short time that your property was up on the site there were 429 direct hits to it and one of them purchased your property. This is the second home listed on our FSBO website to have sold since the site went live in August.

I have to totally agree with you Jim. Allowing anyone into your home comes with a risks. This isn't just an FSBO but applies to every one, and it doesn't matter if it is the neighbors kid, a plumber or electrician, or maybe a realtor with a potential buyer. I don't even want to know what could happen with an "open house" and all the lookie-loo's. The problem with selling a home is that you need to let people inside to look around, and there isn't much you can do about that.
Just food for thought here is what one of the people advertising their home on our site does. First he presumes that the people that could purchase his home have money and with that in mind have internet access. The sign outside of his property states it's "By appointment only" There is no phone number on the sign, instead he puts our FSBO URL and the Ad number. That way then have to go home and pull up the ad to get further information which includes the property description and pictures. If after viewing the house online they still want to see it they have all the contact information that they need and they are most likely are a real prospective buyer.
If you have a home for sale it doesn't matter if your doing it yourself or using a realtor, a bit of common sense is needed.
