Saturday Night in Centro Morelia
It had been suggested to us that experiencing a Saturday night lighting of the Cathedral was something to consider doing. We booked a room at the Hotel Casino (http://www.hotelcasino.com.mx/english.aspx) overlooking the Cathedral. Our friend suggested dinner in the second floor restaurant in The Grand Hotel while watching the lighting of the Cathedral and the fireworks.
Kathy had salmon prepared in a puff pastry similar to a Wellington:

I had the highly recommended Arrachera:

The actual "lighting ceremony" starts around 9pm with the Cathedral totally dark. Once the fireworks start, the two 70m towers get progressively lit throughout the fireworks. I apologize for the poor quality of the following slideshow but i failed to prepare properly:
