TELMEX Empty TELMEX

Post by Abrria Sat Jul 17, 2010 10:44 am

Since last Monday I have been off line more than on line. I spoke with Telmex and they kept saying "server" problem. Late yesterday I spoke with them again and the man suggested that I move computer setup downstairs since I knew that phone jack was working. It worked and I have tested the upstairs phone jack and there is no dial tone. Am I correct in thinking that Telmex is only responsible for service to the house but is not responsible for "inside" the house? If so can you recommend anyone who can deal with this. I assume Telmex can work on this (?) but I have been told they are expensive.

Thanks in advance.

You are correct that the homeowner is responsible for installations inside the home. Repairing (replacing the wire and jack) the line is a pretty simple procedure that a handyman or electrician can do.
