2012 Guia Roji Highway Atlas
We have decided that our 2001 Guia Roji Highway Atlas requires replacement. I remember thinking back in 2001 that $100MXN was a heck of a price but I would have to say we got our money's worth!
Has anyone seen these for sale in their travels? A friend has checked a number of OXXO's, WallyWorlds, Sandi, SuperLake and a couple of other spots without luck. Since the current price appears to be $135MXN, it would tick me off paying Amazon $29.95 for one.
Has anyone seen these being sold in their travels?

Great suggestion Chris!
Just checked their website and:
http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sanborns.com.mx%2FPaginas%2FFamilia.aspx%3FidFamily%3D119&act=url
Now the question is whether the stores carry them?

SUperlake and the bookstore in the Torrito shopping center carry it or at least used to. We bought our 2012 from one of the two.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions! As it turned out, they were relocated to a different spot at SuperLake. A copy was purchased this morning at a SuperLake.

Keep in mind that Guia Roji maps are pretty good for big roads, but flat out wrong if you are trying to travel on back roads. We tend to drive the Libre and then wander around from there. I can't tell you how many times we found roads [even what looked like old roads with villages - pueblitos granted but not new] that weren't on the map. We finally quit using it unless we were on a numbered highway.

Flamingo:
Your comments/observations are quite accurate! We actually utilize two work-arounds to keep from losing our way:
1) We purchase the smaller and more detailed Guia Roji maps from the Mexican States we visit. Generally speaking, these can often be found in displays at the front of the larger OXXO's or 7/11's.
2) We have found that our Garmin with Mexico Maps to be surprisingly complete with smaller highways and even detailed maps of the streets in the towns and villages. In fact, just yesterday I downloaded the latest updates of our Mexico Maps and did some checking to confirm the added detail. Since we are going to be driving the Arco Norte when driving from Morelia to Oaxaca that wasn't in our prior version, that was one of the first things I checked and all of the detail was there.
3) I happen to possess a pretty good sense of direction that has managed to get us out of some confusing spots in the past and hopefully I haven't lost that since our previous trips.
Our friend who purchased the 2012 version at SuperLake yesterday discovered that he had purchased the 2012 Guadalajara Map Book. He returned to SuperLake to get the 2012 Carretara Map Book and they had sold their last one earlier this morning. So he headed to the bookstore by El Torito and found it there for $155MXN.

Re: 2012 Guia Roji Highway Atlas
We found good fold up maps of mexico from a Canadian Company.
International Travel Maps
Http://www.itmb.com
Mexico scale 1:200000 (waterproof)
Mexico Central and Mexico City scale 1 :1000000
Yucatan scale 1:500000
Mexico Pacific and Guad scale 1:1000000 and 1:12500
Mexico North Scale 1:1,300,000
Central America 1:1100000
We were very happy with these. Best fold up we could find.
Not cheap. Do not use AAA mexico map almost useless especially
near a big city.

So Zed:
Given your stated apprehension about driving to Tonala - can I conclude that your maps were lacking enough detail to provide you with adequate confidence to attempt the drive? HA!

These maps are pretty good much better than other fold up mats.
I was happy with the detail. Yea I admit I am a wooz when it comes
to Guad. We have done Seattle to Ajijic three times in a loaded
pickup truck in the last year or so. I know how to drive in Mexico
and feel very comfortable. I don't yet feel that way about driving
in Guad. Some of the drivers manuvers really scare the crap out
of me. Anybody wants to see these maps before ordering I would
be glad to let you check em out. Wouldn't mind seeing one of
those Atlas of Mexico. I have two maps of Guad and neither of
them gives me warm fuzzies about going there. I commend anyones
skills if they can drive in Guad safely.

Re: 2012 Guia Roji Highway Atlas
I bought a new one before my drive down this month. (that very same one) I can tell you my van made it down in beter shape than the map did. Even with getting a bent rim and all 4 wheels off the ground.
The map may be good for showing the roads but the quality is very poor. The pages started to came out in about 2 1/2 hours of use and continued until I gave up using it.
I got mine on Amazon.com and it was about $28 American
