Using a US Cell Phone

I just bought a T-Mobile phone and T-Mobile says it will work in Mexico. It will for 69 cents a minute anyway.

Does anyone know what are the dialing codes to call back to the US and to call numbers within Mexico using a US cell phone?

When in Mexico you enter 001 + phone number to call the US. Callingwithin Mexico you simply enter the 10 digit phone number. The protocol is the same whether you have a Mexico or US cell phone.

There are a lot of internet cafes here that can let you make long distance calls for a lot less than that... They use internet services like vonage or skype. If you are bringing your laptop, set up a Skype account...problem solved.
