Tough Times for San Juan Cosala
The ashes of the young people murdered last month from SJC are being delivered now. The vigils will be held at the individual homes. The Mass will be tomorrow but am still waiting for the time. I'll post it as soon as I hear.
It would be a very gracious thing to attend and support these families in their time of sorrow.

I wish I could come and show that I cared, trailrunner. But I'm up North. I think we all feel the pain. It's nice of you to make this suggestion.

If this is not a cry out to all of us to help these folks through the lakeside victim's fund, I do not know what is. Thanks, Trailrunner for your sad, but we need to know, post. chico

Re: Tough Times for San Juan Cosala
The Chapala Municipal government offered to pay for the funerals of the victims that died in the May massacre (the ones from the municipality of Chapala). Three families accepted assistance and the municipality paid for those 3 funerals , the other families declined. This information was in the Informador.
I suppose there were victims from outside of the Chapala jurisdiction and I am wondering if these funds will be offered to them?

Far as I know, the collection that is being done (Lakeside Victims Fund???) is picking up the slack. It's for real and a well-known poster is handling it.
No word yet on the time of the Mass.

Per Agustín:
The Misa will be tomorrow (Tues) at 5pm.
Apparently all the ashes are together. Everyone is invited to attend, tell your friends.
Saludos.
