Yes we have many good posts wrecked by inappropriate comments outside the Octagon area. Sometimes it is best to delete the gibberish versus moving the whole post. 99% of the time the gibberish was directed at one person and made little sense anyways.......jajaja.

On rare occasion I will split the comments off and put them into a post of their own in the Octagon however they would have to have some validity to qualify for it.

Of course each situation differs so it comes down to a judgement call.

You should delete the offending post. The rules are clear about language and personal attack outside of the Octagon. Enforce the rules and people will quickly learn you mean business about them.

How 'bout "bleeping" out the offending words? Please lets not starting banging on "rules"....that's why most of us are here. Regimentation gets a little stifling.

If a person has half a brain, he can disagree, even insult another poster with ever having to resort to an F-Bomb or referring to him as an a-hole.

Bleep it or whatever. Maybe a time out. I dunno about permanent banning unless it's repeatedly and endlessly offensive, like a few we'll never miss.

It should be so simple Main. How about the person who posts something like "Well, that's a bunch of s*it." Or "Just shut up and FO." Then there are the times we show up and the offending post has been copied and pasted into the next several posts and then others comment on those posts? The what if's and how abouts go on and on so what we are left to do is use our best judgement and call 'em like we see 'um.
