Gotta agree. Let's pay them what they're worth. They should have enough to give them from CFE's profits, the highest electric rates in all of North America. 4.09 pesos/kwh.
More solar panels are coming. My neighbor reduced his over 5,000 pesos bi monthly bill to UNDER 400 pesos last bi mester. FR... WOW!!!
CG - Nine cents a gallon??? It's already 10.1 for Magna and way cheaper than the US.

Re: Gas Up Today
That would be centavos in MXN. Just the 5th monthly raise this year for the month of May. I posted it because I have seen people complain that they didn't know when the raises were coming and look at all of the money that they could save!

Neil, if MXN gov needs money to fight cartels....they own gas? Bump up the price of fuel......bring in black ops. Cartels value their families, no one else. They are killing innocent Mexican residents......next tourists?

Re: Gas Up Today
That will just make all the thefts that the cartels make from the PEMEX pipelines all that more valuable!

Re: Gas Up Today
As good as that plan may sound, unfortunately, the majority of the population can barely afford the price of fuel already. They could however increase the foreign owners land taxes by 5 or 10 fold.
Just stay away from the booze and smokes.........jajajaja.

Considering that most of us belong to the downtrodden 99%... I would suggest a "luxury tax", which surely would impact those who can afford it... for a change. Lizzy

Re: Gas Up Today
Never being ones to take anything lying down (well, except German occupation) the French have elected a new president who favors a 75% top tax bracket for the highest earners. Maybe that's an idea that will catch some traction outside of France. Sux to be rich!bobnliz wrote:Considering that most of us belong to the downtrodden 99%... "Francois Hollande said it was simply a case of "patriotism to accept to
pay extra tax to get the country back on its feet again" and reverse the
policies of President Nicolas Sarkozy that he said favoured the rich".

Re: Gas Up Today
Here is something I'll bet you didn't know. All gas in Mexico is refined in the USA. Mexico has no facilities to refine gasoline. They make jet fuel and other things but not gasoline. So when the oil companies start talking about supply and demand, it includes all the gas in Mexico.
And Mexican gas is still much cheaper than USA or Canadian gas.
