Real Estate Agents

Does anyone know of a Realtor @ Lakeside that works with agents in GDL? Has anyone here listed with a GDL agency? Seems like a growing % of homes here are being purchased by residents of GDL. Can anyone recommend an agency in GDL?

If an agent here is a member of AMPI then they can list the property on the AMPI site and it can be viewed by GDL agents as well as others nationally. http://www.ampi.org/

Spencer, Do you know if all real estate agents collect 16% IVA on comission paid....or just the Lakeside companies?

Jim - You may be able to find a Realtor who will take 6% instead of 7%. I have heard, although I don't know for sure, that there are ways to get out of IVA. Maybe some finagling??

To my knowledge all agents are obligated to collect the tax, although it depends on their tax structure if intermediate or corporation then yes.

John, you are correct....I have a 6% deal....but after 3 months the broker hasn't brought his sales agents for a walk thru....and just found out they are not a member of AMPI, so home is not listed on the GDL web site.

Jim - It should be listed on the Chapala MLS site. Who is your Agent and Broker? I'm with Eager for over 3 months. No Realtors caravan yet either.

My contract ends July 16. I don't know if I'll renew for 3 months after which time I'll probably change realtor's to either International or Hernandez owned by same person.

I was very impressed with Raul Gonzalez from Ajijic RE when he brought clients here.
