I did see an rather large number of Policia and Transitos in Ajijic when I was there earlier today.

Not knowing any better until now went from SJC to Riberas and back with lots of stops. Only police I saw were the traffic cop giving a ticket and a bad accident on the carr. in La Floresta - moror bike and car collision - looked bad - police diverted traffic to the traffic circle.

There is also a lot of activity in Chapala with policia and such because they are shooting a commercial right beside Intercasa's place.

Here is the "official warning" from TOB. I don't see where it says anything about the bad guys though and today is the 25th not 21st......

Just walked 4PM from LCS to Zaragoza up Colon in Ajijic. At least 10 police
and detective looking like folks in front of the police station. We normally
have zero to four or so hanging about. I walk past the PD at least 5 or 6
times a day so I am pretty aware of there behavior. Something is going
on. Also at LCS yesterday a Mexican military Huey helicopter was flying
kinda low (nothing dangerous) from west to east. Man been a while since
I heard a huey when it is going fast.

No I rent and yes quite a few police were there. It is all quiet now and very little traffic on the main highway.

This is all crap. I talked to someone from the Reporter an hour ago, who was with the police in Chapala, police radio on, and they said they had no information about this from any agency, no rumours, no nothing. I sure would like to know where that email orginated. Seems like we are getting our own local spam now.

Many people on TOB are calling this report a sham. Who knows? I will carry on as usual anyways.

Well it may well be bullshit who knows but I do know it is very quiet
in Ajijic. Just walked from Colon to Guad Pharm and not a lot going
on.


Prorader it was a couple of hundred feet overhead and you know how
a huey you hear it first whoop whoop whoop than it goes away and
than zoom it is over your head. Just had not heard that sound down
low for quite a while. Huey sound different when they are way up in
the air like I normally hear them NOB. Startled me.

Great idea!!! We don't need more fear mongers here at Lakeside over a nothing rumour. A few minor incidents here and everyone except a few of us sane people have gone bonkers. If there was something really serious going on here, you would have seen many Federales in many trucks along with many trucks of army guys. It's not regular Police aqnd transitos that do a house cleaning. You saw that about 4 or 5 months ago.
