For sale: Fla. fixer-upper, 13 beds, $75 million
Largest single family home in the US only needs about $25M in finishing work

"If you’re looking for some real estate in the Orlando, Fla., area, there’s a 90,000-square-foot mansion in Windermere that might interest you. It’s the largest single-family home in the U.S., and it’s been on the market since 2010. It’s still under construction, and the “as-is” asking price for the unfinished home is $75 million.

However, if your hands are made to carry Louis Vuitton handbags instead of a hammer, it can be finished for you with the construction materials that are still on the site. If you choose that route, the final price for the property is a cool $100 million. ...........

John may want to re-think moving to Barstow?

That is one ugly house. The original owners must have no class. With the Florida real Estate market in the toilet, good luck in selling that place for their asking price.

I think the word we seek is "pretentious", along with ugly, but obviously, whoever was building it has fallen on misfortune........so we can shed a tiny tear for them. Very tiny.

Dawg is personally taken aback at the cheap catcalls of less fortunate human beings deriding Herman Munster´s dream retirement estate. Jealously rears its ugly head. What better place for Herman to build his castle than Orlando. Well, maybe Vegas or Branson.

Actually Barstow ain't that bad. It is my day two stop heading north. Rodeway inn is very clean, inexpensive, and good breakfast with waffles. Cool mexican resturant
just down the street. I find most of the people friendly and the street is clean (well maybe the wind blows it away). Not a good place for vegans at least what I could
see.

I have my doubts if this David Siegal has ever been to Versailles! He is certainly pumping a bun of "pond water" on his website for the house: http://lakebutlermansion.com/

13 bedrooms 23 bathrooms how weird why 23 bathroms? Versailles only had one...times have changed.
