Killer caught
The alleged killer of the Canadian in Melaque was supposedly captured a day or two ago. Everyone knows that the suspected killer of the American in Ajijic in December was arrested shortly after the killing. The Mexican police do have a well deserved reputation as incompetent and inefficient, corrupt etc. but at least in these 2 cases they responded well, whether through hard work or luck or both, who knows. Just wish they had the same kind of success when the victims are Mexican.

Law enforcement around here is clearly making a tremendous effort, and having some astonishing success. Great news.

"Round up the usual suspects." Claude Raines, CASABLANCA, 1942.
Dawg has been sparring with you for years, Solovino, and respects your opinions. Is your comment that you wish "they" had the same "...kind of success when the victims are Mexican." meant to be ironic as Dawg thinks? Perhaps even a bit bitter?
The average citizen of Casabalnca would not have received the same discretionary largesse as did the romanticized American character played by Humphrey Bogart in that 1942 movie and the average Mexican can never expect that largesse either. The cops had to come up with appropriate criminals upon which to blame the violent deaths of foreigners in order to protect the lucrative expat residency market so they rounded up the usual suspects. Way too easy in a country where the conviction rate for widespread homicide is less than 10%. Dawg did not just arrive on the turnip truck and you preceded me by years. Either this is a charade or we are to believe that God intervened to snare a couple of nere-do-well adolescents who, no matter whether they are guilty of the specific crimes or not, are cetainly deserving of punishment. Godawlmighty.
Are we to believe that local cops can serendipitously happen upon vile criminals they were not seeking and, by so doing, appease public opinion among the foreign community for crimes that bring fear and trepidation to thatcommunity? Not once in the past month but twice? What an incredible stroke of luck. Dawg is taken aback.

He kidnapped people, robbed others so the Ajijic loser won't be seeing the light of day although his family in Ajijic has been threatening the victims, somebody needs to pay them a visit!

Re: Killer caught
The suspect had been IDed from the start, was a local or at least had been living in the area and in this case no one is doubting that this is the right guy. The moron returned to the area and was spotted and chased without capture one day prior to the arrest. Shots were heard during that pursuit and I was told from an eyewitness to the chase that the kid was jumping over walls and other obstacles with the agility of a rabbit. The idiot stayed in the area and was apprehended the following day.

Good grief, is there no end to the boldness of these criminals. Isn't threatening people a crime in this country?
Solovino hit the nail on the head, the guy is as guilty as sin and practically brain dead as well.

Are you, one aspiring to become a lawyer in this jurisdiction and sworn, therefore to uphold the rule of law, recommending vigilante justice on an unconvicted "losers" family? That´s a first for Dawg even though I grew up in Alabama during the Kluxer and summary lynching era of the 1940s and 1950s. It does not appear that we have a budding Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird here.

I am only loyal to the human race and furtherance of it and to protect the innocent from the losers no matter how many losers get hurt in the process.
He kidnapped a friend, robbed clients of mine, good grief Charlie Brown, perhaps you want to pick another criminal to defend!

Re: Killer caught
The suspect in the Ajijic killing was caught robbing a beauty salon 2 blocks from my house in GDL,the police tied him to the Ajijic crime through evidence they found,it would appear that good police work did happen in this case.Solovino wrote:The alleged killer of the Canadian in Melaque was supposedly captured a day or two ago. Maybe I am "lost in the cornflakes" here but it appears to me that once again posters have crossed over to a mix of topics. This started as a post about the alleged Melaque killer but now the alleged Ajijic killer seems to have entered the discussion?

Re: Killer caught
Families of suspects threatening families of victims is nothing new and yes they do deserve a visit from somebody, hopefully the law but if thats not possible then you have to look at other options,if you have them.hound dog wrote:Intercasa wrote:He kidnapped people, robbed others so the Ajijic loser won't be seeing the light of day although his family in Ajijic has been threatening the victims, somebody needs to pay them a visit!
