PIN #'s and ATMs.
This was verified by Scotia Bank here in Canada. I don't know about the US (likely) or Mexico.
If you are being forced to withdraw cash from an ATM type in your PIN # in reverse. The cash will still be dispensed but the authorities will be immediately notified and dispatched (hopefully).

So much for my darling wife's good friend's well intentioned emails. I stand corrected. At the end of the day - just give them the money, which is why I can only get $C300/per day out of an ATM.

We all get caught up in these. It is always best to check out something like
this in snopes and see if it is true. Information passed by Email is always to
be questioned unless you know and trust the original source which you often
don't know.

I tend to just delete emails that offer simple answers to the fears we all have. Snopes is a good source for finding out if something is true or just fluff being blown your way.

I always check with Snopes and tell the sender what I've found.
This one turned out to be false...but what a GREAT idea!! Wish it was true.

Re: PIN #'s and ATMs.
While I was reading the snopes.com article, I visualized the burglar alarm system on my previous home in Arkansas. It had a silent "panic button" -- why couldn't such a button be installed on each & every ATM?
