More Crimes - Please Report
Today we heard from two people about two more crimes that they felt were committed by same guys that were involved in the murder of Christoper Kahr. Yes, we know one confessed - but two were seen leaving the scene of the crime and two were involved in an attempted carjacking..
One person said they had been robbed - and almost murdered - and did go to the ministerio - and from their perspective, the ministerio dropped the ball. The person also said that reporting the crime to Lakeside Crime is on their to do list.
A few hours later, someone let us know that they had solid information that a local citizen was kidnapped for ransom - same guys.
So if you too have been a victim - please let us know in addition to reporting it to the ministerio. And if you know someone that was a victim, please encourage them to report it to us. Lakeside Crime is just a reporting facility - but it is the only place at Lakeside where you can see look at the history of crimes at Lakeside - to include the list of armed robberies - even if only a small subset of the population is reporting crimes to the website.
The person that committed the recent murder (and his associates) - and armed robberies - will be convicted and sentenced based on the weight of the crimes they committed. Lets make sure we have a complete list - as right now, it doesn't look like it. And we do promise your personal information will be kept confidential - unless you provide us with permission to disclose it to others.
So I encourage you - if you think that you too have been a victim of the guys that committed the rash of armed robberies - or the person that killed Chris Kahr - please let us know. It only takes a minute to report it to us - http://lakesidecrime.com/forms/form.php And of course we encourage you to always report crimes - because if you don't - the community will think it never happened - and right now, the community needs to understand what is happening!
Thanks for your support! Mitch

Just to be clear, these incidents happened before or after the murder?

I might add that Christopher Kahr was not a Canadian, he was American. So much for the accuracy of the press.

Lakeside Crime:
As an outsider looking in, it appears that you may be trying to maintain an impossible task? Simply take a look at the level of activity when people got all excited about the murder and a couple of armed home invasions. Now that the "major crime" may have been resolved, the interest has diminished. I would venture a guess that if another meeting was called for later this week, there might be 100 or 200 there since the problem has gone away. This is human nature and the real work is keeping everyone interested and proactive.
