Seguro Salud Jalisco
I am trying to sign up online for the Seguro Salud Jalisco program. It brings up my ID, etc and asks if I am a foreigner which I respond yes but then it tells you to upload a picture of your INE card which we expats don't get. I tried my Residency Visa but it says it wants an INE card. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Seguro Salud Jalisco
I never signed up online. I went to the hospital in Joco and showed my Curp and Resident card then received service.

My friend ,at the other end of the lake, also signed up at the Joco Hospital. She lives right beside it in Rancho Alegre.

Re: Seguro Salud Jalisco
I imagine this is a situation where fluent Spanish would be necessary to sign up? Best to take a translator?

I was a member of the previous Popular Seguros, so I guess it just transferred.

Re: Seguro Salud Jalisco
The first time I went to the Joco Hospital Comunitario to inquire about Seguros Salud Jalisco registration they pulled someone from the back office who was an English speaker. I thought about that and went back today and had a conversation today in Joco with an upper level person in Spanish and she told me to go to my local Centro de Salud in San Juan Cosalá and they would register me. This person told me to take my visa permanente, comprobante CFE, and my CURP.
So I go to the Central de Salud in San Juan Cosalá and they told me to come back on Monday morning at 10AM. They said I only need to bring my CURP. FWIW Central de Salud hours are 8-3.
So probably in about 5 more trips I may get this done.
