Not sure of documentation required but their office in Chapala is on Degallado  between Cinco de Mayo and Guerrero if no one has an answer here.
Probably ID, proof of domocilio, CURP no., old contract.

I renewed mine in April. I took everything but they only wanted my old contract. Walked out of there with new contract in 10 minutes.

No, it still had a week or two left before it expired. Sorry, I didn't notice the part in your original post that mentioned expired.
