WE ARE BACK
We are back. Time to start posting again. We are kind of short of rain this year, but at least the temperatures have been much closer to normal than what we have been seeing on the TV screens for many parts of the US and Canada.
Also so far, even with the shortage of rain lakeside, no forest fires so far.
Have a great day, wherever you are.

Re: WE ARE BACK
Hola Pete, I fear this time next year the lake shore will be further out than most expats here will have ever seen.

Having escaped from Seattle where it is almost always cloudy and usually raining, I never thought you would ever hear me say, I miss the rain here, lakeside.

Carry Bean lives a 1/2 block east of me in Riberas. It rained... twice... 0.3 inches total.

Re: WE ARE BACK
Yes, we are way behind this year. Nothing we can do about it so let's wait and see the final total at the end of October and the lake level. It may not be raining here but it is where the tributaries that feed the Lerma are located. The lake goes up and the lake goes down. Seen it in both extremes. Ain't nuthin' perfect but it's raining lightly right now where I live.

Re: WE ARE BACK
I got in 2 days ago and I was happy to see green cerros. On my 2 hour drive home the temperature would be hot(80ish degrees) when it was sunny but would drop to low 70s as it got cloudier. It’s been scattered showers since my arrival.

Re: WE ARE BACK
Welcome back Pete.
I have been absent from the board awhile, for good reason. When we left in November, we came down with Covid after the flight. My wife took 5 weeks to get over it and I (lucky) to 10 days. We were fully vaccinated.
Then the HOA had done some bad managing things at our condo complex and my wife and I decided to sell our condo and buy a house. So did a lot of other people. There were as many as 12 to 14 units for sale each month (normally 2-3). Property values dropped 25 percent with the glut of units on the market. We have a contract on ours and will be closing next month. We did find a nice home in Orange Park in our price range and moved in May 1st. Still unpacking after the move.
That said, we will be back for 3 months next year starting in August, our longest stay yet. I heard that they were putting in sidewalks on the Libramiento in SAT and paving the "Goat Path" that goes by the cemetery and the school in SAT down from Birds of Paradise, It is going to look a lot different when we return.
We hope you are all well.
