Do they stand up to the cobble rock streets?

Re: Cooper tires
Everything you need to know about UTQG ratings
What’s a UTQG rated tire, you ask? Excellent question. UTQG stands for Uniform Tire Quality Grading, a standard created by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). It’s a system that lets consumers compare tires based on treadwear, traction and temperature. In other words, the UTQG is a handy shopping tool that can lead you to the right set of tires.
"the highest UTQG rating is 860 for a Hankook model"

Re: Cooper tires
Is the UTQG rating present on a tire manufactured in Mexico for use in Mexico... which the Coopers are?

It's a tire rating by various manufacturers.

Well, I personally don't pay much attention to the UTQG and surely don't make a buying decision on it. Why? First the standards were set over 50 years ago and haven't been updated much since. Second, it is done by the manufacturers themselves, not an independent agency. Third it is a VERY subjective rating that can be easily 'manipulated' by the manufacturer.
Anyway, for those of you who are actually interested in this, see: https://www.zafcointernational.com/zafco-insights-blog/do-utqg-ratings-help-consumers-purchase-the-right-tire/

Re: Cooper tires
About 9 months ago I bought a set of tires from ProDynamics. They have a number of outlets in Guad.

I was looking for a specific tire. They didn't have it in Guad., but they ordered it from one of their other locations and was there in a few days. Two guys buzzed around the car installing the tires and we were in and out in 20 minutes.

Who are other good Tire Dealers in the Lakeside or Guadalajara areas?

Re: Cooper tires
There is a GoodYear (and others) tire shop near Soriana in Chapala and a Michelin (and others) shop on the Libriemento near Hotel Perico entrance. There are others in and around Jocotepic as well. Hundreds in Guadalajara. Use Google Maps it will show them all.
