I think their site administrator, if the mods can't, needs to disable the ability for any new members to sign up for awhile until they get this sorted.
Removing the spam one by one every day isn't the solution, obviously.

Saw the same thing.  I did Post about 5 hours ago in the Classified section but no one has posted since.  I just did a test Post there. It took several seconds... 20 or so... to list my Post but it did finally show up.  Strange goings on over there.  Probably has something to do with the spamming that was prevalent there for the last week.

The experts are working on the problem. It might take a little while, but they will find a solution. They always do. "Say I from Seattle where the temperature may reach the 90s, which aint normal.

I don't know if you see this when you are signed in there, since I'm banned, but at the bottom of every thread it says "Note: Your post will require moderator approval before it will be visible.".

So are there a stack of posts awaiting moderator approval?

I just went back to Chapala.com after reading your post here mudgirl. There is no "Note" at the bottom of any thread that I read... and I picked four of them before coming back here.

Okay, well, it's new, though. It's in red and was never there before. Perhaps because if you're not signed in, it's warning to anyone trying to post after creating a new account, their post won't be posted until read by a mod?

I always sign in to read posts. Maybe because you were banned?

Anybody who gives a web board ANY information that is worth hacking (or not easily changed) needs to give their head a shake.

I've seen NO indication that any personal information over there is being hacked. A ton of bot spamming but that's not an indication of hacking.

I noticed that you posted about the RED notice over there Rick. Mudgirl, Rick sees it too but only when he is NOT logged in.

I got a crapload of emails from the same spammers. My email provider sent them directly to spam. Chapala.com has everyone's email that they signed up with.

I am not banned from there, but I refuse to post there. I check the site from time to time and have sent/rec'd PMs from other members.

I had been staying 'signed in' but now only sign in when I want to check my PMs.

I do read TOB. However, I refuse to post there. It is my mild way of protesting Mainecoons' arrogance.

So they aren't just spammers, they are hackers mining email addresses of account holders. And it likely doesn't matter whether you are signed in or not- the info is there, obviously not secure. Concerning stuff.
