Property Management / Manager
Just bought a house and will need some TLC during the non-snowbird months. Real estate group "has a guy " who want 1500 pesos a month to pay my bills and keep an eye on the place.
Seems like a lot to me. What do you other snowbirds do for this kind of service? What does it cost and what does that get you.
Also of note, I'm not trying to rent the place out while away.

We do not rent our home when away, but use Roma Mgmt. to come by 1x a week to look inside and out, and to pay our jardinero (our only worker). We pay our own utility bills directly so we don't have Roma do that. fyi, you can do the same, either pay online when away or pre-pay before you leave.
Roma's monthly charge was 600p in 2019, the last time we were away for a month or more.
We were gone 2 weeks last month and had Roma come by, paid jardinero. They saw that our aljibe had over-flowed and had a new float put in. They have the names of our maestro and electrician/plumber, or they will call their own to make repairs.

Property Manager
Recommend Quality Management...
We are here year-round but use the service for repairs, payment of employees and dealings with the various Mexican offices... We are in our 5th year and have no regrets... When we travel normally we hire a house/pet sitter.

Thank-you to both. I will check into both recomendations. We're here for a few months before heading north so I will have some time to shop around and have conversations.
A lot of hurdles to overcome before I'm comfortable with the whole process, but time, patience and some good conversations should get me there.

I have been using Chapala Property Management for over a year. The monthly fee is less than what you are looking at. They have been outstanding and I couldn’t recommend Gustavo and his crew high enough. They have high quality workers/tradespeople they use.
