If you can submit your ArriveCAN online, you will get an approval (by email) before you even leave. That way, it is much quicker at the airport when you arrive. You don't have to go through an interview while they look at your papers in person.

Yes, I filled out the Arrive Canada app, uploading photos of my vax card for my first vax I got in Canada last summer and the second vax I got in PV. That all went smooth, the app worked fine for me.
The only place I was asked to show the Arrive Canada receipt ( QR code) was at the PV airport when I checked in with Westjet. No one at the other end (I landed in Toronto) ever asked to see it, nor my actual vax paper and card, nor did anyone ever ask to see the certified translation of the Mexican vax paper the Govt. of Canada website told me I needed and which cost me 500 pesos to get.
That quite irritated me, as I had spent several hours, plus the 500 pesos, looking for a certified translator, photoing my vax paper and sending it to him, arranging a time to pick it up, and driving to a part of Vallarta I never go, to get a paper no one ever asked to see.

Re: Elimination of FMM Paperwork
I suspect that since you had the PV vax card translated and submitted on your ArriveCAN app, that it was inspected when you submitted it prior to your flight and approved.
No reason to view it again once you landed in Toronto.

My Mexican vaccination certificate is in both Spanish and English. Wouldn't one from PV be the same?

Where in my post did you read that I uploaded the certified translation to Arrive Canada? That's not what I said. I uploaded a photo of my original Mexican vax paper, not the certified translation.
Nor does the Govt. of Canada travel info tell you to upload the translation to Arrive Canada. It says you will need to present it.

What I had was the slip of paper they gave me at the hospital where the vaxes were being given. Although it's pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain that my name, the date, name of vaccine given and batch number is the same in any language, the rest of the paper itself was only in Spanish.
I tried downloading the certificate from the Mex vax site, but said it couldn't be found.

Re: Elimination of FMM Paperwork
So much confusion and the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
At any rate, I DO have my Tourist Visas (my wife and I)and I will know in two and a half weeks whether they will ask for it at the Guad Airport. Then, I will post the result here.
