Re: Need water filters changed…
I've been dealing with garafons for years. When I was up in Canada this summer, I bought myself a Berkey water purifier. The filters supposedly last up to 7 years, depending on how much they have to filter out (so it'll probably be less than 7 years), but if they get a lot of mineral buildup and clog up they are scrubbable. I'm quite pleased with it and all I need to do is dump a couple jugs of regular tap water in it every 2 days.

I too use a Berkey water purifier and love it - the taste of the water is spectacular! I am now looking for something to filter the whole house water. I live in Ajijic Centro and in recent times the water has had a brown tinge to it. I had the tinaco cleaned and it didn't help. I will always still use by Berkey for my drinking water but the thought of soaking in the brown tinged water gives me the heabie jeabies. I am trying to figure out the best way to do that - any ideas on who to call?

Used to use H2Ole but since the owner died, Jackie, though nice isn’t the most reliable. Check with Techno Agua.
