La Pacena - Ajijic West

It's small, in the shopping center with La Huerta Market.

Not the full menu as served at its original SAT location, but it features our faves from there.

The absolute best dish is the Taco Japones.  Really bold flavors, you can read description on menu; served with pickled ginger and wasabi.  Runner up is the shrimp and chicharrons taco...the pork bits were excellent blend of the fatty and the crispy.  

The pulpo and bone marrow taco is an ideal combo, but the pulpo was slightly chewy, not inedible, but not as tender as it should be.  The seared tuna taco had disappointingly tough tuna....no excuse for that around here.  

Tab for above plus 1 beer and 1 agua mineral was 472.  Will return for the Tacos Japones and the chicharrons and shrimp.
