Covid Testing to be ditched for vaccinated travellers to Canada

Good move but he didn't say anything about doing that ArrivCan thing.

The ArrivCan is how you upload your vaccination certificate. This is still in effect. And of course if you are transiting through the US you will still need to get tested. Hopefully the US removes it's requirement too.

Air Canada and AeroMexico offer direct flights from CDMX

And WestJet has direct flights from PV. I prefer the PV airport since it is smaller and more user friendly.
I keep hoping that SOME airline would provide direct Canadian flights from Guadalajara and can't understand why they don't.

Just not enough potential passengers to fly direct from GDL. It's all about "can they fill the flights" and the available market will not do it. They need a potential market much larger. A few thousand people ain't gonna do it.

I know (grumble). I really thought that by 2022, I'd get "beamed" wherever I wanted to go. Star Trek fibbed.

As they have for many years..........unfortunately the ticket prices to Canada for AC or AM via Mexico City are outrageous since both airlines reduced their services to/from Canada during this pandemic.

If Volaris can fill direct flights from GDL to Seattle I'm sure they could also fill flights to Vancouver and Toronto. I believe there is more at play here than passenger numbers.

ArrivCan is more than how you upload your vaccination certificates. Many people have trouble with it but it will probably change.
