Firestick problems
I have the 4k Firestick
It buffers constantly or just freezes to become virtually useless?
I have done speed tests and have the 150 down I am paying for
I installed a WIFI extender "near" within 6 feet?

Re: Firestick problems
Are you using a VPN? Are all your stations buffering or just certain ones?

yes , I'm using NORD VPN and when a channel is bad on one provider , it seems to be bad on all. Speed checks at such times are OK?

Re: Firestick problems
Sometimes the VPN can drastically reduce your speeds. I know my Ilox is around 40 MBPS without the VPN on and around 8 MBPS with the VPN on.

What is the service you're trying to stream?

The usual procedure for streaming issues on a Firestick is to go to APPLICATIONS in SETTINGS, then FORCE STOP and CLEAR CACHE on the apps in question. Reboot the Firestick and reboot the modem (let the modem sit for about 5 minutes before turning the power back on. Also, download an app called DefSquid from the appstore. This will allow you to force stop programs that you are not using, thus freeing up memory. Finally, if possible, run an ethernet connection to your modem for more reliable streaming.
