Cases of omicron variant in Mexico rise 500% in 4 days; variant already circulating in 14 states
The Network of Genetic Sequencing Laboratories reports 252 cases, which implies an increase of 500% from December 25 to December 29.

scary. Well, I just arrived up north (snowy Seattle) to get my booster shot. The first two were Pfizer shots and the third will be Moderna.

Apparently with all three shots, we can still get the virus, but the negative effects will be very much less

Thanks Pete. Careful walking around in that snow when you go to get your booster this afternoon. Wouldn't want you to be fully vaxxed (for now) and then slip and fall.
One of my stepsons and his wife attended a family Christmas dinner. They are double vaxxed and boosted and also did the home test (all attendees) before showing up. Unfortunately the home tests are not that good at picking up Omicron. Everyone who attended now has Covid.
Wear your mask. Even when receiving delivery meals.

Although omicron has milder effects on us vaxxed, wearing a mask in public places is still prudent. Omicron is everywhere, so take what steps necessary to stay safe.

I suspect everyone will be catching the Omicron at some point soon. The virus has mutated to be far more contagious, but not as deadly as to kill its host. Probably(hopefully) the end game for the CV19. Lets hope that within the next year it becomes endemic and no more worrisome than the flu or common cold.

Kids like you can fight it better, but, old geezers like me will be goners!
