Don't hold your breath for legalization. The Mexican government has been handing this around like a hot potato for more than two years now.

Absolutely -- no breath holding. A few months ago the excuse was that the revisions they made had some surprise unconstitutional elements. This when they were specifically working to comply with the constitution. A few days ago they again reported problems with unconstitutional elements with the latest revisions. And they have access to the best legal minds in the country. They are thumbing their nose at their constituents and at the law. When the umpteenth extension of the deadline given by the supreme court expired almost nothing changed: the old laws are still in effect. It seems like the supreme court has no enforcement power. And maybe in this country that should not be a surprise.

The DEA got kicked out of Mexico a year ago and then last month the Mexican govt decided to allow the DEA to return. So everything is moving now. Now the Americans will get their "cut" and the legalization issues will be resolved. Just my two cents.
