What to know at GDL for flight to US?
We are US citizens and MX permanent residents flying to the States next week. I'd appreciate a reminder of what we will need to do (or not do) at the airport as far as documents, logistics etc. We will have our antigen tests, proofs of AstraZ vaccines, MX permanent resident cards, US passports, ticket reservations, luggage, masks. Anything else? Tips for navigating the airport rigamarole? Many thanks for your helpful, nonjudgemental response.

Re: What to know at GDL for flight to US?
Here's my advice; my wife and I have traveled back to the States eight times during the quarantine.
First off, your antigen test must be within three days (not 72 hours) of your flight departure. So if you have a test already but don't fly until Tuesday, it will be out of date.
Second, you'll need the US CDC form signed and dated. Your airline might have taken care of this with some questions when you check in, but otherwise just search for the CDC form and print /sign/date it. All it says is you had a negative Covid test.
Third, you'll need to visit the Mexican government web page at Vuela Seguro. Once you register, it will let you open a health questionnaire not more than 12 hours before your departure. You need to fill out one questionnaire for all your family members, and when you do, the site will give you a QR code (on your smart phone) for each person. You show this (with your boarding pass and ID) at security to enter. Some people have said they were never asked for this; we have always been asked for it,and we have seen many people stopped at security and not allowed to pass until they register and get a QR code. Sometimes they have hard copy forms near security, but I don't know how they work.
Fourth, you need to visit immigration (the booth near the international arrivals gate) and show your permanente and passport, and turn in your INM form (only the bottom half). You retain the top half for when you have a return flight to Mexico. (as always).
Fifth, you must wear a mask at all times in the airport and on the airplane. Mask must cover your nose & mouth.
Sixth, your vaccine status is irrelevant for travel between the US and Mexico; you may need the CDC card when you are in the US, but you don't need it to go there, or to come back.
Seventh, most people finish checking in and go to the main security entrance on the first level, where the lines may be long. We go up the escalators (very near the immigration booth) and there is a second security checkpoint which in our experience has been must less crowded.
Good luck!
