Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
Ya know Kippi, I think you are on to something and the tables may be turning. It's probably just wishful thinking but I am seeing a 180 change in attitude, tactics and state help while living across the street from the cop shop. These guys don't walk to their vehicles to respond to a call now, they run. And they don't turn on their sirens and overhead light bars when responding and at night they keep their headlights off, same with the motorcycle guys. Another interesting development today is that there is an ambulance sized white van parked in front of the station and 2 sedans with the words, Laboratorio Movil Forense and logo with the letters LJCF and a fingerprint design within the letter C. At least for the present the grab-ass'n is over and these boys have a whole new attitude.

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
That's GREAT news! With a few victories under their belts they should start feeling more pride in their work. Glad to see it. Always getting trounced and not having the back up they needed didn't help. I think once you're the hero..the whole game changes. About time...now lets hope they can afford to up their pay a little. Even when you don't get shot...the fear factor probably takes years off your life!

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
Perhaps we’re looking at “Elliot Ness vs. Al Capone”. History does repeat itself.

Why, no one has been uncivil or do you really have something that needs to be said?

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
Actually here is my take on these matters.........
When issues are in the "rumour" phase or at least "unsubstantiated" they should be kept in the members only area until all the facts are out however once they are confirmed with media reports then they should be out in the open. That is the reason I started this second thread with the actual media report from the Guad Reporter that is available to the general public.

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
What is it with "members" trying to tell CB how to run his forum?

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
I'm always open to suggestions and advice CG............I just think it is irresponsible to put unsubstantiated events into the open as many guests won't know all the facts and may jump to conclusions. Mexico has a bad enough rap without us fueling the fires. I do think Intercasa's and 007's blow by blow report was riveting however we didn't really know what was happening at the time.
Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
Hey CG, if WE won't tell Bob how to run this thing who will? Good work Bob, I appreciate you keeping the rumors non-public.

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
This is total BS.....why haven't you ...CB opened substantiated "Rumors"...from the Octagon......after all they are open to public....may be you should create a holding in Octagon....for release if unfounded.....I don't get it...but then again I am dumber than a post....LOL....Please explain....why virtually everything regarding neg Chapala is hidden on Octagon....yet this thread lives on

And I thought it was for our protection to discuss those things in the Octagon.

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
Okay, let me see if I get what Bob is saying. I'll speak real slow.
If a neg a tive thread is sub stan ti a ted ,
like the ar ti cle in the pa per ,
then it can go in reg u lar post ings.
If the neg a tive is a rum or or un sub stan tiat ed it goes in Octagon.
New bies should get facts not ru mors.
If they reg is ter, they can get it all
Bob's board
Bob's rules
I happen to agree and apparently others do too

Re: Shoot-out in Chapala
C-Bobs board, C-Bobs rules and if you disagree then convince him otherwise. If not and you still want to play, play by his rules. Is this all that hard to understand? I like his personal leaning so I’ll play, my choice.
