Christmas Cards Empty Christmas Cards

Post by Tday Fri Dec 13, 2019 9:43 am

With Christmas just around the corner, It's a time for me to get those Christmas Cards sent. Only problem is I have not been able to find any. Walmart no, stationary store no, I have found single cards but most are too artfully done and would not make through the mail. Any help greatly appreciated.

They are not as frequently used in Mexico, so are very hard to find. You may find a few, or may have an artist produce some for you.

I have been using electronic greeting cards for nearly 20 years now. I particularly like https://www.bluemountain.com/
There is an annual charge but the greetings are lots of fun to personalize for whatever occasion throughout the year.
Some of the Christmas cards are interactive and my grand kids used to love them. Holiday music plays while the greeting is being read.
Each to his/her own but I like them.

Besides not being able to find cards that most gringos are used to using, the service fee to get them to the border and put in US mail in a timely manner isn't cheap. E-cards are the way to go. Lots of things change when you move to a foreign country. No Hamburger Helper and no Christmas cards, unless you can afford either one.

The Children's Art Program has Christmas cards for sale every year - designed by the kids. The were for sale (holiday and regular) at the Feria and also the recent Holiday Fair at LCS. There is still a selection available in the office. 25 pesos each with envelope. Write your own greeting!

The stationery in Ajijic, across from the Oxxo, has a good selection of seasonal cards. Some are too fancy to mail, but others are flat. All locally made. You will find Xmas themes on them, but blank inside.
