Incredible news (and about time) but I doubt that "lighting up" was part of the study. There are so many ways to take this incredible plant that do not involve compromising the lungs with burnt material. Smoking it is absolutely the least efficient way of benefiting.

That is like saying why sip glasses of fine wine, when you could be tossing back 95% alcohol shooters. Many people savour the fine and subtle flavors. The problem today is that many cannabis strains are very strong, maybe 3 puffs max. Jim Belushi, John Belushi's brother, just introduced a new strain, "Captain Jack", named after Jack Herere, who was a regular backstage in the early days of SNL. It is 23% thc, dominant sativa "giggle weed".

Keep in mind that homeopathy proponents think purified water is medicine. If there's a buck to be made...

I think the proven medical benefits from marijuana have progressed way beyond the homeopathic arena.

I didn't intend to suggest that marijuana was homeopathic. I agree that it has many benefits and, no doubt benefits as yet unknown, but it's not going to heal an amputation. I meant only that homeopathic remedies are mostly, and by mostly I mean completely, without peer reviewed validation, and until the many wonderful claims attributed to marijuana pass said peer review process and are understood, I'll retain a little skepticism regarding it. As an aside, someone here or on TOB once sang the praises of a particular homeopathic dog remedy that was claimed to quiet a distraught animal. This someone claimed to have experienced an unfailing efficacy using this product. A smidge skeptical I did a little investigating and found that the homeopathic (as claimed on the label) remedy was in fact not even homeopathic, it was juice laced with brandy. I stopped doubting that it kept the dog quiet as claimed. Gullibility in society is a feature, not a bug.

I met a guy here who lost his mom to pancreatic cancer, she lasted 6 months after diagnosis. His sister was next, she lasted 4 months after diagnosis. He was diagnosed at stage 4 and given about 6 months tops. He said fk it so no chemo or rad. He moved to lakeside and began eating cannabis oil a gram a day that he bought off the street. He lived two years.

Near the end he was in a lot of pain so he supplemented with some narcotic pain killers, then one night when he went to the bathroom he fell backwards and hit is head on the tub, then passed.
