A friend just started exhibiting dengue symptoms. Severe headache, high fever and aches all over. He's getting tested today. Usually we hear when it is going around. Has anyone heard anything about dengue recently?

A friend of mine (visiting) had it about a month ago...Diagnosed by a local Dr..Sick as hell for a week or so..Has since returned to the States..

Yes, I contracted it a couple of years ago and don't want to get it again. I was out for at least a week.

My wife was tested at Chopo this week, not a cheap blood test, after two doctors missed detecting Dengue and was told she has the hemoragic type. There is no treatment. You just have to wait for it to pass.

My friend tested negative for dengue, now they are looking at hepatitis or Lyme disease. Hopefully its hep A which is quite treatable. Lyme disease is a bitch.

I had Typhoid a couple of years ago. It's Salmonella that's gone bad...…..
