On Thursday I visited LMG and had an interesting experience...They said they were not seeing any cash paying patients..They only wanted patients with a supplement NOB insurance .

I thought this very strange and some what suspicious of their motives ....could it be they have found a market niche where they bill your insurance North American price(s) for any treatment

or any treatment that was NOT given... the gift that keeps on giving..Not suspicious at all... happens all the time w Medicare NOB..

Last year a clinic 200 miles from my residence charged my Medicare for insertion of a suprapubic catheter. I’ve never had urinary problems. I notified Medicare hotline. They never did anything about it. This is in Texas.

I thought this has always been their business model. They even are able to get payment from NOB insurance companies that do not pay for services provided outside the U.S. It’s a miracle!

It appears that they are in cahoots with a medical provider in the USA, who is willing to claim that the services were provided in the USA. The actual provider, in Mexico, then 'shares the spoils' and the patient is complicit in the scheme. Insurance fraud, plain and simple!

They started this scam with retired military "TRICARE" coverage by billing top tier rates at USA pricing, they found this loophole and are exploiting it..I stopped using their services after seeing what they billed for a Derm. referral.. Be warned, they are a shady group...

Tricare went after this scam in Mazatlan...no more problems!
