You mean just past the entrance guard? Or just inside the stone archway from the highway?

Condolences to the family simpsca. Are your friends Mexican and any particular story behind why this happened to them? The paper said there were 2 bodies found there.

Yeah, they maybe funnier but this is probably truer to life down here. In fact I’m not sure if I’ve even heard of a trailer park with permanent residents. Good photo.

OMIGAWD! Trailer Park Boys and Toby Keith´s The Trailerhood. Who says Canada is not enlightened - especially Nova Scotia?
"Yáll drag a hunnert dollar bill in yo Cofederate Flag license plated Dodge Ram with the shotgun rack through a trailer park and they´s no tellin´ what you´ll come up with." Dawg´s thanks to James Carville with certain liberties taken by The Dawg.
Dawg´s daddy ran for mayor of Dawg´s South Alabama hometown in 1953 just so he could sponsor a city residential zoning ordinance after some sod-buster parked his trailer in an empty lot across the street from Daddy´s ancestral home and as soon as he was elected, he had Sheriff Billy Bob escort that GOB (Good Ole Boy) and his trailer to the county line with instructions to keep driving north ´till he crossed the Deetroit city line. Hayseed got hisseff a job with FoMoCo and returned south a few years later in a new Lincoln Continental and bought hisseff and his extended family their first house ever with an actual foundation. Never saw that trailer again.

My friends are NOB but the deceased was the son of a Mexican family from Jocotopec (most of us know the family). The funeral service was today in the old church in Jocotopec.

What do a Tennessee divorce and a tornado have in common?
Someone is going to lose a trailer.

Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
Here's another news story on the Roca Azul operation, in Spanish. This story says "There is a recognition of 10 victims in Jocotepec," which lends some credibility to earlier "many more bodies" comment by Albertrv.

Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
It also says that the group dedicated itself at kidnapping and killing members of the "other gang". It does not make it sounds like the victims were nice innocent people either.
It does not say they were living in Roca Azul, just used the property.

It was mentioned to me that the 4 caught were all very new to the gang. The real bad guys were long gone. This doesn't surprise me at all.
Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
what the hell are you saying m&m? you are a total idiot if you thing my friend's 36 year old nephew with a wife and 4 children and grieving parents, was kidnapped and killed even though the ransom was paid; was not "a nice innocent person". you are a sicko!

Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
what you said is in no paper that anyone else has read but it has been gossip amongst certain foreigners. i take it you are not apologizing to the family then?

Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
I feel terrible for the family, they are children without father, a wife without a husband and parents without a son and that is terrible.
If what the paper (above see traveller´s post) posted is true 10 more families will go through the same thing.
When you think this is happening everyday all over the country, there is no word to describe the horror of the situation.
This is not foreign gossip, the dead count appears in Mexican papers every day.
You claimed your rode your bike through Joco and there was no trouble...obviously you were not looking too hard.

Cool your heels, pedrito. In the first place the family doesn't read these comments so that isn't an issue. In the second place the newspaper articles I have read, in Spanish which you are incapable of reading, do mention they were eliminating rival gang members. They also say the were involved in kidnappings and extortion which most people are capable of understanding to mean innocent victims.
These people are the scum of the earth. Direct your ire towards them instead of people that have nothing whatsoever to do with the tragedy. If you want to jump on others for being naive, then explain how you proudly exhibit a picture of yourself with the local cops? They are as dirty as the ones from any other municipio in the country. Assholes from the get go. Bragging about being friends with those shitheels demonstrates a lack of compassion for their victims.

Re: Roca Azul & Chapala
I don't speak Spanish either, but I translated the article that I posted with Google Translate (far from perfect, I know) and I did get the impression that the "protecting the turf" function (killing rivals) was separate from the "kidnapping for ransom" function.
I also understand from the article that, as Albertrv said, none of those captured seem to be senior gang members. The report makes reference to two cells. The alleged leader of "Resistance" in Jocotepec is still at large. And "Resistance" isn't the only group around - the fact that they are killing rivals means that the rivals are here too. So for those who are breathing a sigh of relief and telling yourselves the bad guys have been arrested and things are going to calm down - I admire your optimistic spirit but I sure don't agree with your analysis!
