Real Estate and the New Casino Empty Real Estate and the New Casino

Everyone knows how rumors spread here so it's time to do some checking. The "word" is that with the new casino announcement that real estate sales are picking up and the realtors are beginning to smile again. True or false?

I don't know that yet, but I can check with a local Realtor in our Community who knows what's going on. I emailed them when I heard about the Casino. They thought it would improve sales and prices. Good luck travelling the Libriamento or if you live in that area. Traffic nightmare!

had lunch w/a realtor yesterday. Said the Mexicans from Guadalajara are the ones buying right now and the Mexican realtors are doing very well. This isn't the first time I've heard this. Another realtor told me the same thing a while back. Prices are now affordable lakeside. When we came out here 5 years ago, they were laughably inflated, but not anymore. Don't be shy folks, get out your wallet if there's anything in it.

The whole area is so over built with minimal infrastructure .... it's becoming a joke. If the Mexicans want it for weekends, let them have it. I thought I was safe in Jocotepec until they started building those 1000+ cracker boxes and a frickin' 3 lane road from Guad for weekenders.

Head for the country or live downtown so you don't have to DRIVE anywhere. It was back to a small town on the beach for me
