Credit Cards
Apparently aduana is returning credit cards to sender as the banks can no longer mail credit cards out of the country. Anybody else hear about this?

Re: Credit Cards
No, but how do they know a cc is in the envelope? Hope this doesn’t affect mail coming through Laredo mailing services.

Re: Credit Cards
Me too. I have one overdue coming from Laredo. But it will probably be rejected when it hits customs too.
Everything goes through customs and they are returning them. Many posted that their cards had been sent back.
I thought of a workaround though.
Maybe it's BS, there are now a lot of posts saying they got their cards no problem. FB page, Expats Living in Mexico.

Re: Credit Cards
Why is Aduana objecting to cc’s coming here or is it that the banks don’t want to send them? Damn, it’s always something. I have a couple years to go with mine so hopefully it will work itself out.

Re: Credit Cards
I just received a new one two weeks ago via UPS. It was sent from my mailing address in Canada, not directly from the bank.

Good.
That thread on FB has about 100 responses now and about half say they just got their cards and all was well. The other half were all over the place. Sounds like the banks don't want to send the cards, can't say as I blame them . . .
I have to go to Sol y Luna today, I will ask them if they know anything.

Not true......It is the bank's decision not to send to Mexico, Aduana couldn't care less.
Where did this "apparently" business get started and why is it being repeated?

That's the problem with those FaceBook group's, there is no specific topics or anyone to call BS. I would never use one to get info.

Trust me, most on there won’t listen if you do call BS on any of it.
