Re: Ranch Dog Adoption Day this Saturday - 21 April
Here is this week’s lineup:
Young adults on leashes
Bobby Sox is about a year old, small/medium sized and, as his name implies, has lovely white socks on his paws. He is purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) black and white variety probably mixed with a bit of Labrador Retriever. His owner dumped him on the street but he was clearly not street smart. A nice lady fed him and when she couldn’t find his owners, brought him to the Ranch. Bobby is a sweet gentle little guy just lookiin’ for love.
Jazzy is a 5 month old, dark brindle girl with a soft, plushy coat who just oozes charm. Her front half is mostly brindle while the back half is mostly black. Very unusual markings. Her brother Rocky has found his home but Jazzy is still looking. We expect her to be medium sized but stay a lap dog at heart.
Wynona was rescued with 3 other siblings who have al been adopted. At about 5 months old, we expect her to be on the small side of medium. She is loving, lively and playful but not hyper. Mama-dog and the other pups looked more terrier but Wynona looks more hound with a stunning brindle pattern that you can’t appreciate in a photo.
Lia is a 10 month old purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) tan and white variety. She is a sweetheart with pretty markings. Lia has lots off energy and is going to be a big girl when she is grown up. Need a hiking partner? Lia would like to apply for the job.
Puppies in the pen
Montana and Louisiana are part of a litter of 4 puppies found abandoned in a vacant lot. They are about 3 months old, purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) black and white variety. Montana has long hair and Louisiana has short hair with a tail light.
Izzy was rescued from a trash bin, but we thing the person who did this is basura, not Izzy. She is a lovely 4 month-old reddish Labrador Retriever mix.
We have PUPPIES – 15 new puppies in two different litters. We are calling one litter the Panda Pups cause they’re black and white and the other litter the Black & Tan Crew because they are, well, black and tan. Two pups from each litter will be in the puppy pen.
All our Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. Puppies have had some shots and been wormed, but most are not yet altered. We will pay for altering when they are old enough. There is no charge for adoption, but donations are gratefully accepted. For photos and pictures of our other dogs please see our Webpage:
