Re: Ranch Dog Adoption Day this Saturday - 7 October
We have three medium sized dogs, older puppy or young adult, on leashes. We have seven super cute puppies in the puppy pen. Stop by for a puppy love fix even if you aren't looking for a canine companion right now.
Dogs on leashes:
Bruno is Mamacita's puppy and she looks like a Cattle Dog mix. She has found a home but Bruno is still looking. He is mostly black with a bit of gray shading, medium length coat and great long-haired ears. He is about 9 months old, medium sized, and maybe part spaniel? Bruno is also a very ornery love-sponge.
Odin was loved and cared for once. Then his family moved and “forgot” to take him with them. GRRRRR A kind soul came to his rescue and now he can live up to his name in Norse Legend: the Norse God Odin is associated with bravery, sovereignty, wisdom, magic, shamanism, and poetry. His breed mix is just that — a mix. About 2 years old, handsome cream and tan fur, and on the small side of medium, this boy is gentle, loyal, and would be a great addition to your "Viking Longhouse". SKOL!
Rosie is one stunning girl, and pictures don't do her justice. I'm not making this up - she looks like a blue brindle Whippet mix. As her coat is growing in, it is plushy with marcel waves. Her tail has to be seen to be believed. It resembles a bottle brush with curly fur??? Kerry Blue Terrier in the mix??? She was found in SJC, sickly and alone. Our special volunteer nursed her back to health and what a beauty she is. Rosie is about 7 months old and is going to grow up to be one gorgeous sweetheart of a dog.
Pups in the pen:
We have only two of our Puppertunity pups left: Pola (female) and Kayla (female). Which one is which? I can't tell. You'll just have to come and meet them in person! These lucky pups, along with mom-dog Julia, were rescued from a neglect situation, but are now happy and healthy pups, all ready to go to good homes. They are about 12 weeks old, love play, cuddling, and napping. Their breed is hound/pitbull mix. Based on the size of their mommy, we expect that they will be medium sized when they grow up.
Also in the puppy pen, we have a new litter of puppies, just 10 weeks old and now they have names:. Riggs, Gordy, Barkley, Ruby and Hazel. They were left in a box by our gate but they are safe, happy, and growing fast. They have first shots and have been wormed. Some are brown, some are black and all have white accents. We have both boys and girls. They look like Shepherd mixes and are going to be medium sized when they grow up. They are super cute right now, That’s all I know.
All our Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. Puppies have had some shots and been wormed, but most are not yet altered. We will pay for altering when they are old enough. There is no charge for adoption, but donations are gratefully accepted. For photos and pictures of all our dogs please see our Website:
