Visiting May 4-12th- Request recommendation for a place to stay Empty Visiting May 4-12th- Request recommendation for a place to stay

Post by TWalker Sun Apr 15, 2018 5:58 pm

1 person (myself 53 YO male) visiting the area for a week.

I am pretty minimalist I am not looking for anything fancy.
Although I would love a pool to stay cool if it is warm, perhaps a private place to sit outside.
Other than that I don't have major requirements.

Should I just use AirBNB or do you happen to have a recommendation? I prefer Ajijic within walking distance to mirador and shops.

Thanks

The places with pools that I can think of in Ajijic village (easy walking distance) are:

Villa Corona
Casa del Sol
Nuevo Posada (I think they have a pool)

All can be found on VRBO or AirBnB.

Also with a pool is Las Casitas - on the carretera a bit west of Juarez. Not really any private places to sit outside, though.
I've never been inside, but it would probably fall under the category of "nothing fancy". Easy walking distance to everything in town.

Yes, we do but we don't have any vacancy left in May.

Try www.villaeucaliptos.com/ on 16 September.  It is a lovely place 2 blocks south of the Wednesday market and a few blocks East of the village.

Neuvo Posada does have a pool and rooms with private balconies, some with a view of the lake.

Very nice place, but not inexpensive. Maybe well worth it, though.

Our journey leading to permanent residency in Ajijic started 4 years ago at a quaint B&B:
