The Playa del Carmen explosion - a different take

This was shared by a friend who knows the ins and outs of México really well. I thought in light of recent threads about local and national crime it would make for an interesting read. Every time something remotely like this happens the narrative in the U.S is all about narco violence and lawless México, and you can be sure that the actual cause (insurance fraud, apparently, in this case) will never be reported.
