AT&T Cell Coverage
I'm new to Lakeside and not a Spanish speaker (yet). A month ago I went to AT&T at the Laguna Mall and got a SIM card and monthly plan for my unlocked iPhone. The gal who signed me didn't speak English but I'm pretty sure I signed up for the $299 monthly plan (there was a service fee I'm guessing, so the total I paid was $577.98). I signed up on 22 Jul and tried to pay my August bill today and was told I didn't owe anything until September 19th. Again the gal didn't speak English, but using the translator on my phone, I'm sure that's what she was telling me.
Is that right?

You may want to go there with a Spanish speaker to make sure you understood everything.

And, are you aware that there has been a recent fraud with ATT in Chapala? If not, scroll down until you find it here. Probably under the Crime heading.

Re: AT&T Cell Coverage
When I went there was a clerk and the manger who both spoke English. Even though my Spanish is pretty good, it was useful - always so for business. My plan is P$200 a month and I paid for a year. Sounds to me like you're all right.
