It's not unusual for it to start then nada for a week or two. Same thing happened last year too.

I do remember teaser rains before the season started. I don't remember four consequetive storms, rainy season being declared, and then this long stretch of hot, humid weather. That's why we count on you youngsters to remember last year. I have a hard time remembering last week.

Jaja.......last year or the year before we were all joking how it was the shortest rainy season on record due to a long break between events.

In Chiapas 3 years ago it is exactly what happened that kind of pattern down there killed the cochinilla harvest ( the one got lacquer) and played havoc on the corn that dried up and died... We will see what effect it has here.. We had this exact pattern 3 years ago down south.. maybe it is our turn this year..
