Political Refugee

After the last week of news from the US, I am curious if Americans can apply as Political Refugees in Mexico?  (En serio)

I haven't heard of any such animal here, but Trudeau said Canada would accept people who are caught in limbo that are legal or approved by the US, born in one of the restricted countries, that are caught in no man's land.
Note....this is an immigration Q and A, and not intended as a political statement.

I hope so as I have a uge Mexican flag tattoo on my chest, Aztec gods on my left arm, another small Mexican flag on my other arm along with a color map of Mexico. All good looking things from a local tattoo artists.

And after all I wouldn't want to under do it.
