Cell calls on land line Telmex
Please note that the new Telmex bills are now billing cellular calls on the 389 package.

No if you will check with Telmex, you will see that you are allowed to make up to 200 Minutes to a cell phone or many cell phones per month for free, But remember only a total of 200 minutes per month

Does that include international calls to cell phones?

I make International calls to cell phones in Canada all the time. It's the only way to get hold of anybody these days. I don't get charged but I have the 599 peso plan.
I would imagine it would also depend on where you were calling because I seem to recall a recent thread where Carry Bean was asking about calls to the Caribbean.

Thanks, Ferret. I have the cheapest plan and call the U.S. I have been using FaceTime and Skype but thought I would try using my phone. Most of the people I would call have only cell phones.

Re: Cell calls on land line Telmex
I only watch my number of cell phone calls when calling in Mexico. I have never been charged extra when talking to my relatives up north be they on a land line or a cell phone.
However if I want to make a long distance call to say Microsoft support I dare not use their 800 number, Because that free long distance number does not reach into Mexico. So I always find out what the local number is and I can dial that for free. I know that sounds weird but it is so. And we are charged when using a US or Canada 800 #

I will just add, if you call a US/Canada 800 number by using the 880 prefix you will be charged. It shows up on your bill as "LADA 880 INTERNACIONAL" and the cost is 6 pesos/minuto.

This explains it, I wasn't aware that the package had a 200 min/month limit...I do now!
Thank you...
