Cafe Domenech in West Ajijic
This café on Zaragoza in West Ajijic featuring Argentinian among other cuisines is a relatively new place that offers outstanding bistro-style food and, although I live near there, I just discovered this treasure this afternoon and I was taken aback by the quality of the food I was served there. They also have a very good selection of wines. More about this hidden treasure later but, for now, I recommend tis restaurant highly. The owner is named Raymond and I believe he hails from DF.Their telephone number is 333 150 6940. Some of the best reataurant food I have found in Ajijic and I have lived here for 15 years. If you like Argentinian and Italian food, do not miss this tremendous opportunity to wallow in both as exceptional treats.

We love this little, charming place. The food has always been excellent and service attentive. One of the pwners is Basque and Oaxacan...very gracious lady. Give them a try!

I had an Argentinian style sausage, a cheese dish and some pasta all of which were delicious. Be advised that this place has no discernable sign so, as you head down Zaragoza from Ajijic Centro, look for a modest restaurant facility on the north side of the street just before you arrive at the Danza Del Sol Hotel property. The restaurant has a colorful front so be alert. A visit there will be well worth the effort. The owner does not regularly offer Argntinian style beefsteak with chimichurri because he (rightly in my opinión) considers Mexican beef normally available to be inferior to that rerquired for this special treat but in the future he plans Argentinian steak nights from time-to-time and Bubba will definiely be there for that.

I failed to make it clear in my previous post that the owner/chef at this café wil only serve imported beef to celebrate his Argentine beef feast nights. No Mexican beef gracias Dios.
